Qualified high school students may be eligible to enroll in concurrent courses and be covered by the new Arkansas ACCESS to Acceleration (A2A) Scholarship.
Requirements
Qualified high school students may be eligible to enroll in concurrent courses and be covered by the new ACCESS to Acceleration Scholarship Act (Act 341 of 2025). The scholarship is funded by excess Arkansas Lottery proceeds.A2A will award eligible high school students $65 per semester credit hour for up to 15 hours per semester.

Detailed Description
Basic Eligibility Criteria
An applicant must:
- Be a high school student, classified as a freshman, sophomore, junior, or senior
- Be an Arkansas resident or, if the student is less than twenty-one (21) years of age, either the student or one (1) parent of the student is an Arkansas resident
- Be enrolled in a concurrent course
- Not enrolled in a vocational center where the student’s enrollment is reimbursable under § 6-51-305
- Meet all established requirements for concurrent enrollment courses set by the Division of Higher Education.
Continuing Eligibility Criteria
- A student is eligible to continue to receive the scholarship if the student successfully completes a concurrent credit course(s) with a minimum GPA of 2.50 (GPA does NOT include high school grades).
- A student who fails to complete a concurrent credit course is eligible to retake the class one additional time. If the student fails or withdraws the second time, they are no longer eligible to take that class but may continue taking concurrent courses provided the GPA remains above a 2.5.
- If a student fails to maintain a 2.5 GPA after two semesters, they are no longer eligible to receive the A2A scholarship.
